Assam Tele-Education Conducts Periodic Assessment Test (PAT) Across the State

Assam Tele-Education conducted the Periodic Assessment Test (PAT) Round II for students of Class 3 to Class 8 as part of its academic assessment framework. The assessment served as an important tool for understanding students’ learning levels, identifying academic strengths and addressing learning gaps at an early stage.

The test was conducted on two separate days to ensure effective administration. One day was allotted for students of Class 3 to Class 5, while the second day was dedicated to students of Class 6 to Class 8. This structured approach helped create a smooth, stress free and well-coordinated examination process for students.

The assessment was held in five mediums of instruction namely Assamese, English, Bodo, Hindi and Bengali, ensuring inclusivity and allowing students to perform confidently in their preferred language medium.

The duration of the examination, which was 1 hour and 30 minutes, allowed sufficient time for students to read, think and respond carefully. The assessment encouraged time management, logical thinking and confidence in problem solving among students.

The Periodic Assessment Test proved highly beneficial in providing teachers with clear insights into students’ learning outcomes. The results supported data driven teaching, enabling teachers to plan targeted academic support, remedial teaching and enrichment activities based on actual student performance.

Overall, the successful conduct of PAT Round II strengthened continuous assessment practices, improved academic monitoring and contributed to better learning outcomes. Through this initiative, Assam Tele-Education reinforced its commitment to student centered assessment, academic quality and inclusive education across the state.
