On the sixth episode of our Career Guidance Session podcast on 20th December 2024, from the Assam Tele Education studio, we featured Aditi Paul, the Deputy Manager at the State Bank of India (SBI) Local Head Office, Assam. Banking exams in India are reputed to competitive as well as difficult. The banks examine students on a number of subject items such as Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, English Language, General Awareness and Computer Knowledge. The syllabus is so huge that students have to acquire very good analytical as well as problem-solving skills. The students have to be efficient in giving answers because of an additional time constraint during the examination. Competition increases year on year because of increase in number of applicants and hence important for candidates to adopt strategic preparation techniques. Preparation towards banking exams generally contains self-preparation, practice tests and sometimes coaching. Time management, current affairs knowledge and practice under such timed conditions are the key areas where one has to perform well for achieving success. In this session Aditi Paul shared with students how to overcome these obstacles through determination and a positive attitude the key aspect of guidance needed by aspirants to shine in these tough examinations.
